Teaching
Since 2017, I have been teaching students individually to improve their art skills. I mainly work on an individual basis and focus on those with intent on growing as an artist and doing something with that skill. My goal is to always guide and show them the talent they already have. I believe everybody has the ability to create meaningful artwork, they just need to be nudged in the right direction. I use the skills that I was taught as well as skills I have picked up on my own over the years. I believe art is a very personal thing, and not every successful artist needs to go to a fancy school or pay for expensive classes to obtain the same result. Art is a common language that all levels and economic statuses deserve to partake in.
Currently, with the amount of research and writing I am currently upholding in the dance community, I take on 1-2 students maximum at a time.
Students are expected to devote 2-10+ hours a week.

TESTIMONIALS
"My son has loved working with Mariah. She is dedicated to helping my son grow as an artist
without imposing her ideas and values fully. She lets him explore his own style!" - Private response
"Working with Mariah has been amazing. I never knew my daughter had the talent she had until
Mariah honed her skills. We were so lucky to have found her. My daughter is still using her
teachings and wants to pursue art at college. Thank you!" - Private response
"Mrs. Mariah is not your average art instructor. Her calm demeanor and poise has allowed my daughter to learn new, more difficult, forms of art without feeling stressed or anxious. She has been incredibly patient in making sure my daughter understands the techniques, while still encouraging her to think for herself. Even when my daughter is feeling frustrated, Mariah pushes her just enough to help her realize what she is capable of. I truly believe that she has learned fundamental methods for creating art that she will carry with her throughout the rest of her life." - Private response
